About Me

My Background

  • Summer Intro to Architecture at Cornell University
  • Associate Degree of Architecture and Building Construction from Vermont Technical College
  • Bachelor of Architecture from  University of Cincinnati with a work-study curriculum.

Variable mediums - digital photography, water colours and acrylics (abstract and representational), sculptures from found and recycled objects/

My sculptures are going to take on another degree of sophistication so keep watching!

My flowers are sketched and painted from still life, imitation, or pictures of flowers.

My  architecture is meant to interact with the individual using the  building.

My photography is meant to acknowledge God's gifts from mother nature (shells, sunsets, sunrises, flowers, etc)

My Inspiration

Non-representational artists, kinetic artists (movement), Le Corbusier, abstract artists Kandinsky, The New York Five, Frank Lloyd Wright. So many modern architects and artists.

As I progressed in school I began to understand how much artist movements influenced architectural movements.  I also realized I had a strong sculptural desire.

Maine Projects

Local Contributions

St. Margaret's Episcopal Church addition to the Parish Hall. An  addition was added on to the existing Parish Hall with similar details. Due to zoning setbacks a jog had to be accommodated and resolved itself in a roof 'tower' allowing for an airy upstairs gathering location for prayer and gathering activities.

Strand Theatre - I worked with a team of talented designers, engineers, and builders. My main role was the liason between the Maine Historical Preservation Bureau - which helped clarify the National Historical Preservation Bureau's requirements to qualify to be on the National Register  - and the remainder of the local team. At an early juncture we had to decide whether to restore the marquee to the original marquee or that of a later time period.  We were happy that decision was made to restore it to its original design.  My contribution was a sketch of each vintage.  This was a very fun project because the public was allowed to view into the lower area of renovation a level below grade while the renovation was occurring.
